Karreman Engineering was founded on the 1st of January 2014. Owner Tom Karreman had a growing list of customers and work which were intend to be a hobby. By starting a company he could take the opportunity to make his hobby his work.
After elementary school Tom followed the electrical route through high school. At the end of high school Tom followed the full time automotive direction on a secondary vocational education. Besides full time school, internships at automotive companies were followed at BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Opel (dealerships) and universal garages. After the vocational education a choice must be made to work in a garage and follow courses to gain knowledge or follow a higher professional education. The last one was chosen. Tom graduated at the HTS / HAN in Arnhem in February 2008 after following the technical and testing course of the education. An internship at Spyker Cars was followed during the education and the education was finished after performing the graduation assignment at Kronenburg Management Systems (KMS). During both internship and graduation assignment the focus was laid on engine management conversion and the activation of direct (low impedance) injected injectors. After graduation Tom took a job at a turbo manufacturer to become a test engineer. Next to be a test engineer Tom has founded Karreman Engineering.

So what does Karreman Engineering do?
Karreman Engineering is focused on the more technical side of the automobile industry. Instead of changing tires and refreshing oil for the lowest price we offer service which is less available by other universal garages or dealerships. We are not afraid to start with something completely new, we see it as a challenge.
Currently we can offer you the following services:
- Optimize engine performance by changing the calibration (power and fuel economy wise)
- Repair electronic modules
- Replace electronic modules for 2nd hand ones and code them (make it cheaper for the owner of the car).
- Read & delete error codes from electronic modules
- Diagnose errors that occur in mechanical and electronic devices
- Coding of modules
- Advanced maintenance (variable camshaft system repair, replace, …)
- Rebuild engines and building them into other cars
- Rent race and drift cars
